West Wycombe - Ibstone Windmill ?

Hi. sorry for the late reply, hope you enjoyed your walk. I thought
this might still be useful to someone.

Make sure you check out the church ( I got married there) and the caves
in West Wycombe. The caves cafe does nice cake but terrible tea. The
grounds of West Wycombe House are also worth a wander.

For your route, there's a nice pub to stop in on the west side of
Wheeler End Common.

Instead of ending in Ibstone, why not end in Turville? It's got one of
the nicest pubs (the Bull and Butcher) in the region (great food!),
plus on the hill above is the windmill used in the film Chitty Chitty
Bang Bang. Plus apparently one of the churches thereabouts (cant
remember if its the one in Turville or FIngest, but I'm sure a web
search will tell you) was used in the Vicar of Dibley.

The whole Ibstone/Turville area is superb for walking, especially in
winter when the trees have lost their leaves so it's a bit more open.

There's always the church at Hambledon too, very popular with the film
makers. There was a film crew working in Turville when we walked through
there a week of two ago and everyone was done up in 30s gear. It was an
Agatha Christy, by all accounts.

Agreed, it's beautiful around there. It's also surprisingly hard work,
those asymmetric dry valleys can be very taxing. There's a 33-km walk I
sometimes do in this area with a cumulative altitude gain equivalent to
walking up Snowdon twice.
