Hi
I've watching what I eat since Feb 1. I have lost 17 lbs.
But for the last 3 weeks I seem to be at a stand still. Is
this usual?
Thanks Gail

Every now and again one does hit a plateau for no good
reason.
There are lots of other reasons for the stall. It can come
from not eating enough, drinking enough water, not watching
the points on what you're eating, etc.
I'm sure others will add more.

Yup! Join the Plateau Club!
So long as you stick to the program, the scales will move
eventually (given no medical problems). Try measuring: some
weeks it's inches that go rather than lbs.

It differs for everyone, but I feel pretty safe in saying it
isn't unusual. Especially considering you lost 17 pounds in
about a month ... which is much faster than the suggested
healthy rate of 1-2 pounds per week (you have lost a tad
over 4 pounds per week). The body seems to shed things in
spurts. When losses ocurr faster, it is not uncommon for the
body to go into a lull for a bit while it readjusts thing.
Keep counting those points, making healthier choices,
watching quantities and snacking, and drinking that water.
If you're doing everything you can to stay on program,
things will start moving again.

You have lost a bunch in a very short time, sometimes your body needs to
regroup before you lose again, good luck, Lee
