Often after I finish a race I find my weight the next day has gone up 3-4 lbs. It just dosen't seem right. Often this occurs after following the recomended ammount of .75 grams of high glycemic index food per pound of body weight. I usually have a recovery drink after the race and maybe a banana, Later that evening I have a high carb meal. The extra weight goes away in a couple of days but during a stage race I don't want to drag any extra weight up the climbs, and despite all this eating I don't recover all that well;it usually takes 3 days or so until the aching is gone completely. any suggestions?

Same here 😕
After our regular Sunday rides, usually around 4 hours or so, my weight spikes on the Monday by up to 2 kg but returns to 'normal' by Tuesday
