Weekend road trip.

I don't normally share what I do on my weekends, but this last Sunday was a little different. I had the chance to fly out of Mpls. MN w/ Greg (LeMond) in his plane up to the North shore of Lake Superior. We landed at the airport on the outskirts of Two Harbors, unloaded the bikes, and rode down old scenic Hwy 61 for lunch at the New Scenic Café. After lunch, we rode back to the airport, loaded up the bikes, and flew up the North Shore of Lake Superior taking in the sights. (With all the rain, Goose Berry Falls was really impressive). Once we reached Grand Marais, we turned North to fly over the BWCA (Boundary Waters Canoe Area) The view was great from 4000', and you could still see quite a bit of the blow down damage from the severe storms they had a few years ago. We slipped over into Canada for a quick look, and then back to the Duluth airport for fuel. Finally arrived home at about 10PM. (It was a little tough getting up at 5AM for work the next morning). 😉
