Just a warning. I have had no problems buying from other web sites (e.g. Wiggle and Evans) but recently I tried to order a part from BikeDock in Belfast as they appeared to have a large range of Cateye spares. However it turns out that the huge range of items on their web site aren't things that they actually have in stock (or can even get in a reasonable time frame).
Here's the summary of their communications:- on (24th Nov) they said "should be with us by Wednesday 29th November" (1st Dec) "expected to be with us by 7th December" (8th Dec) "now in stock (at distributor's) and should be with us by Monday 11th December" (11th Dec) "not now be available until February" !!!!!
So three and a half weeks after confirming my order (and telling me it was in stock at their distributors 8/12) they finally admit they can't source the part until February 2007 (I assume 2007, they didn't actually say). As it's a light spare it's not a great deal of use once the nights start getting lighter. Avoid..

Yeh I wrote to my bank just the other day about a web outlet that had something I wanted at a good price (this was a month or so ago) and then it turned out days after they debited me that they didn't have it in stock. So I drew the line and said to cancel unless it would arrive the next day. And that despite their website saying they don't charge before dispatching (See http://www.jobero.com/acatalog/info.html). Even if/when they do refund there's the matter of bank charges on my business account. Not huge but it's the principle of it.
I promised them I would mention them on Usenet and to Trading Standards so there you are. Jobero do the same.
I believe there's a broader problem with such outlets that don't have their own stock.

I've already mentioned similar problems I had with another web shop, and now I will only rely on the biggies like Wiggle, Chain Reaction etc. Sorry, smaller shops, but if you ain't got the stock, say so on your website. At the very least, put a little effort into getting stock and letting the customer know what's happening. I'm sure there are good "small" web shops out there, but from now on I'll be phoning you to make sure you have the stock in your grubby mitts before ordering!
