Plus the BBC Scotland TV weather forecast. Around 6.55pm on weekdays.
The Friday edition includes a climbing/mountain specific section.

You can tell immediately if it will be wet or dry, Heather the Weather is
usually not too bad, but Gail the Hail means stay indoors :-).

Though the radio forecast is a good option, the forecast seems to have
become less precise in recent years (*). I recall a few years ago the
forecast would almost invariably be made by named ranges of mountains. These
days I frequently hear "north" or "east" without much definition.

(* I blame the introduction of the newer graphics on the BBC TV forecasts
and loss of isobars. ).
