  1. Hi there, I need some advice about rust proofing / waterproofing a bike with
    mostly non-ferrous parts but some, like moving ones and cables. I normally
    use a silicon based spray from Halfords for moving parts but then I normally
    keep my bike in the garage.

    It is going to have to spend a few weeks on top of a narrowboat this spring.
    Can anyone suggest ways of protecting it that don't require covering it up.
