  1. I just bought a new mountain bike and had the shop put on toe clips and straps....however, I find I am wearing through straps once a month rubbing on the crank arm....I have the strap going through the pedal, outside the cage, then through the cage and back out through the inner slot and up to the clip....

Never had this problem before and went back and got larger clips and still the problem....

These are cheap OEM pedals where the clip can't be adjusted and moved out from the crank arm to prevent the rubbing...

Went out today and bought $14.95 pedals and $9.95 clips that can be bolted to the pedals and adjusted...

(the pedals the shop put on have the clips that snap on and can't be adjusted)

Hope I solve my problem...any comments?

    😕

In all the time I've used Look pedals, I've never worn out a toe strap. It never happened when I was using Speedplays, either.
