How can the world's only superpower get into a quagmire in Iraq? The
military might of the USA plus Iraq's army and police cannot squash a
ragtag bunch of insurgents? It defies reason. The Nazis had the right
idea. You go in with overwhelming force and take care of it in a week. 10
days at the most. A war taking several years is ridiculous. No country,
superpower or not, can possible afford it in terms of cost and casualties
