WaterAid Munro Challenge 2005
The WaterAid Munro Challenge 2005 aims to place teams of between four and
six people on the summits of all the Munros in Scotland and the three
thousand foot peaks in England, Ireland and Wales. The date for the
Challenge is Saturday 11 June 2005. The teams are asked to be on the summits
between 12 noon and 2pm.
WaterAid is the UK's only major charity dedicated exclusively to the
provision of safe domestic water and sanitation and hygiene promotion for
the world's poorest people. Since 1994, the WaterAid Munro Challenges have
raised an amazing £700,000 for WaterAid safe water, sanitation and hygiene
education projects for some of the world's poorest people in Asia and
Africa. Areas in Nepal and Ethiopia are just a few of the current on going
projects.
