I'm planning a solo trip from Seattle down to San Francisco in July of
this year, and I'm looking for some advice.
1. I'd like to see the Hoh Rain Forest; it looks like taking Hwy 101
(assuming I can find my way to it!) to Forks would be the easiest. Is
this bike-navigable? Does this sound like a good plan?
2. I want to go inland through Eugene to Oakridge, to visit relatives.
The map looks like Rt. 126 would be a good bet going east from Florence
to Eugene. Is this navigable, does this sound like a good plan?
Generally, I plan to take the 101 most of the way or some variations
from the "Cycling the Pacific Coast" book. Camping or motel, whichever
comes first at the end of the day.
Any ideas, comments, or suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks.
