I was a fat but dedicated motorcycle tour rider for many years. Every
summer took me to Colorado for the great roads there. I had been a bicycle
rider in my college days, a long, long time ago, sew up tires. Every summer
when I putted up Wolf Creek Pass on my way to South Fork and Creede I would
see these bike guys who would unload at the top and then banzai down the
grade, before it was a four lane, after it was a four lane, what difference
does it make? I thought it was the hairiest thing I had ever seen, and I
flew helicopters in Nam in 68. Little tiny brake pads and tires as wide as
my thumb going down hill, at least 50mph with curves. I don't ride
motorcycles anymore, and I am not fat but I don't want to ride a bike west
on Wolf Creek Pass. Ricardo
