  1. if i am riding the trainer for 60-90 minutes a day, (including warmup time), how important is my warmup and cooldown time? i usually just warmup for 5 mins and cooldown for 5. do i need to do more? (after my warmup i maybe go into zone2 or 3)

which is more important? time spent warming up or cooling down?

  2. I think the warm up depends on the individual and perhaps even the day. If you've read the 'Killing me' thread, you will see I spend most of my time on the trainer. I usually warm up for 5 minutes but extend this to 10 minutes if I feel slightly sluggish. It's a matter of how you feel - only you know when you're ready to go.
As for cooling down, this is very important and I have seen 10 minutes given by many posters as the optimum amount. Depending on time constraints, cooling down for more than 10 minutes won't do you any harm. Cheers! Tyson 😉
