Enter aioe.org for your server. No username or password.
One of the icons is "Open Newsgroup Directory"
This will allow you to search for the groups you are interested in.
You can hit "Begin Search" with nothing in the search field to get a
list of every group.

Usenet. Many do. That would be your best chance at free binaries.
I'm on comcast. They have usenet, but it's really the giganews basic
package. So I get binaries, but can reach my limit quickly If I go
overboard in a newsgroup with lots of cute gifs.
