Walks in Sorrento

It involves a ferry trip, but try the Via Tiberio from Capri
town to the Villa Jovis on Capri. There are some wonderful
views over the Sorrentine peninsula from the cliffs, and a
nice bar or two en route. It's probably less than an hours
walk (but when we were there last May it was as hot as hell,
so you probably wont want to walk too far).

Remember to have a look for Pompeii from the top of
Vesuvius. It was only as we were walking back down that we
realised we hadn't looked for
it. Speaking of Pompeii, that's also a good place for a days
walk, don't miss the brothel.

Pray that Vesuvius doesn't choose the moment that you're
there to go pop. Unfortunately there wasn't even a puff of
smoke or a whiff of sulphur (should I say sulfur nowadays?)
when we were up there.
