I've never been walking up that way but there's a pub called something like The Old Coach on the
main street that does a really good steak in pepper sauce. Highly recommended.

The tourist information in Stirling used tostock a flip chart booklet called something like "Walk
Stirling and The Trossachs" which you might find useful. Alternatively one of the bookshops, or
Tiso's in Stirling will probably stock it. Examples include a circular route on Ben Ledi, Ben
A'an whose summitt is one of the finest views in Scotland IMHO for not very much effort, Ben
Venue, and lots of low level suggestions as well if the weather isn't so good. The Munros in the
area include Ben Vorlich, Stuc A'Chroin, Stobinean and Ben More. The Munros guidebook or similar
should provide you with outline details of routes on these. Pubs in the area are not brilliant
IMHO but The Lade Inn at Kilmahog (just N of Callendar) serves good beer but not had recent
experience of food. Also The Byre at Brig O' Turk was serving both good beer and food during the
summer when I was last there.
