I rode with a guy today who had a downhill version of that bike on loan
from Mongoose, it's pretty damn sweet. It pedals like an xc bike (only
about 20lbs heavier). It was a cool setup, hardly anything on it was
availble to the public yet.

The i-drive design is a great pedaling contraption, especially suited
well for a DH rig. It's a real shame GT had to build such a pathetic
frame around it.

It looks quite similar to the Schwinn iteration that's been out for a few years:
