We are a group of 4 considering a week's trip to Wales (or Scotland) staying in a cottage/caravan in early March to do some walking, possible 2 hill walks and 2 or 3 low-level. We where thinking of ether the southern half of the Snowdonia National Park as we have stayed at 2 or 3 places further north including Carnarvon and Beddgelert and Betws-y-coed, but I know nothing of the southern half of the Snowdonia National Park, or alternatively we would be interested in Pemrokeshire coast. We would like suggestions for a village/town to base ourselves with a pub and some where to eat on an evening if possible.
Any suggested locations will be carefully looked at.

Cadair Idris area - Corris (complete with things to go and see if the weather's totally foul)or Machynlleth areas for staying in. Of course, you could always come further south and visit the Brecon Beacons... -- All the best to everyone in 2005 - Fran

Had a day out driving around the Brecon Beacons while staying at St Briavels (Wye Valley) last year and had thought of staying in that area at some stage, probably next year. But think we will stick to ether southern half of Snowdonia or Pemrokeshire coast and Scotland this year.
