  1. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how to get a VO2Max or atleast an
estimate of it... I've been told that it's the same as ml 02/kg. Any help
would be great... is there an easy way to figure it out with a treadmill or
eliptyical with a proper HR monitor?

    Thanks.

You'd need to get it tested. The cheap way to do this would be to volunteer
as a test subject for an appropriate study.

Problem with just measuring poower output is that you don't know what your
    efficiency is.

Why do you want to know anyway ? I mean, curiosity is a legitimate reason,
but there's not much advantage from a training standpoint.

    Cheers,

Many Polar HR monitors have a "fitness test" where they make an estimate of
VO2max. It's not rocket science but somewhere in the ballpark probably. Mine
was about 10% too high on the Polar compared to another estimate on an
Ergobike. A true VO2max test will cost you some money in a testcenter and
include breathing through a mask while running or cycling on stationary
    equipment.
