service and reasonable prices.

Graham, rec.bicycles.soc is not for socializing, but for discussing social issues, like whether
helmets should be mandatory. As a result, you might not be reaching the audience you want to. You
might want to post to one of the mountain bike newsgroups, like alt.mountain-bike.* or
rec.bicycles.off-road, instead.

I stayed in SD a few years ago on a business trip. I asked at my hotel front desk where I
could rent a bike, and the gentleman pointed me to the rear of the Hotel, where bikes could
be borrowed, gratis. So I suggest asking your hotel management first, and if they don't have
bikes, check the local yellow pages for bicycles/rentals. When you get a bike, try riding
the excellent bike path along the beautiful shoreline which runs from the airport south
through the city towards Mexico. I also very much enjoyed jogging that route, if you are
