Hi, I was looking to purchase a Viking MX Comp as my first hardtail, but I have been told its now been replaced by a Q9 DD24 and that its exactly the same spec. The only DD24 I can find on the net is a true budget bike at less than £200 and the only the Q9 DD24 a sub £200 dual suspension. Anyone know if the replacement been offered Q9 DD24 is any good compared with MX Comp as told it has the same specs as MX Comp Hydro disc brakes the lot. Please help
Cheers

Had the viking mx comp alloy ....the [censored] got stolen yesterday ....same as you looking for a replacement ..but nothing online ...any ideas???
it is a great bike by the way ..you get dual disc hydraulic brakes for a reasonable price (£165 on ebay) ..its light with ez fire gear change ......have been trying to locate bike with similiar specs online but being quoted silly prices so far ...bikes 2u direct ...a shop online does the latest viking with this specs but only in 18 inch frame .....price at about £420 ...I found it a bit on the small side being 5 ft 9 myself...
but for 420 there are better options ....I would not spend that much on viking myself....parts are hard to get ....broke my rear derailleur hanger and had in the end to make do with a poor substitute....
keep looking have fun
mail me any updates

Hi
My girlfriend has an MX Comp. She broke the deraillieur hanger on it too. BUT you can easily replace them at derailleurhanger.comderailleurhanger.comOpen ↗ - yes, there's a site for everything now!
I'm actually going to sell this MX comp and get a tourer for her instead (something less chunky and aggressive...).
It's nearly new (with a brand new derailleur hanger!). Let me know if you're interested, otherwise I'll put it on ebay.
Cheers
