Some of the sports doping groups are whining because of this plea deal. Not
only because it is so light. But because they couldn't drag a bunch of
sports heros into court and and scandalize them. Something about destroying
these guy's careers is supposed to "save" sports somehow.

It would have been the next big celebrity trial. Can you imagine Bary Bonds
and other baseball record holders testifying in a super public trial? It
would have been a total witch hunt and morailty play.
