  1. I recently upgraded my bike from an 8 speed Shimano 600 drivetrain to a new 9 speed Ultegra. To make sure everything was compatible, I changed the STI shifters, bottom bracket, cranks and chainrings, both derailleurs, cassette, and chain. I kept the rear hub because everyone (including Shimano) said that 8 and 9 hubs are identical. My problem is that I am getting a vibration that I am feeling in my feet when I am in the smaller cogs only. Gears 1-4 are great, can feel it a little in 5th and quite a bit in 6-9. Happens on both chainrings. Have checked all derailleur adjustments and it shifts great and is whisper quiet. I feel the vibrations more on the power part of the stroke and it is not the pedals (I can make it happen on a stand with the pedals removed). Any thoughts?
