  1. Very Old Fudge

    6 servings

    2 cup White (granulated) sugar
    1/2 cup Corn syrup
    2/2 cup Milk or cream 1 tsp Butter 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract Optional: 1/2 cup nuts Optional:
    candied cherries

    Mix the first four ingredients, stirring occasionally. Boil to soft to medium ball stage. Use a
    candy thermometer. Cook, add vanilla and beat with a wooden spoon until stiff. Add nuts and candied
    cherries if desired.

    Variation: For chocolate fudge, add 2 Tbsp cocoa.
