Now that some of you have had a taste of the trails I call "home".....
We have scheduled an emergency repair for the Bear Brook Trail at Bear Brook State Park,
this Saturday.
One of the sections of trail near the river had a log retainer that has broken loose, part of the
trail is washing away and is presently a dangerous spot. We need to act fast if we are going to save
this part of trail before further damage occurs.
This will be a big project and we will need many hands, and a few wheelbarrows!
We will need a headcount on this project so please contact me and I will pass it along to the
project leader if you can attend
We will meet at the Hiker/Biker parking lot at 9:00am, wear work clothes, eye protection, water and
pack a lunch. Don’t forget to bring your bike for a ride afterwards, helmets required.
