The bit about warming up was that in the first part of the article the police officer said she was warming up for the event on a road that was not closed to traffic. In the second part the event leader said she wasn't warming up, she was riding to the event from where she lives. It also says the "driver claims the light was green", not that it was green. They have not spoken to all the witnesses yet to determine exactly what happened.
