Velib to Hit London?

Because they can. We have some people stupid enough to sabotage water
tanks that had been distributed to areas with no drinking water (because
of our recent floods). Trashing a Velib would be light entertainment
compared to that.

Quite why Velib is getting all the publicity when Oybike has been
struggling to get a virtually identical system running in London with
very little support for several years now I don't know.

I think this is just a case of Ken Livingston jumping on another
bandwagon coming up to the Mayoral election. I can't see hire bikes
surviving in London either.
