  1. This is an old proposal some 10 years ago to instill awareness on the pollution. The proposed scheme would declare 1 day in a year that would prohibit any motor vehicles on the road. That clearly means that only bikes would be allowed aside form people who want to walk. Since our country has a new president next month, I hope that proposal will be revived not only to make the people aware of the pollution but also on the importance of the bicycle as a form of transportation.

  2. It sounds like a good plan. Anything that will encourage vehicle users to forego their cars, even for one day is a step in the right direction. I wish such a plan would be implemented in my country. We don't suffer from much air pollution, but people are becoming obese because they spend so much time in their cars. It would be great if they would walk or cycle more.
