In September we want to cycle the Kettle Valley, but we want to start in Vancouver directly. Does anyone have a suggestion how we could cycle to the beginning of the Kettle Valley (Hope) on nice small roads with low traffic? And once we have completed the kettle valley, how could we get back to Vancouver - either by cycling or by public transport (we have a tandem...)?
Hallo Ule, One of the best ways to get to Hope from Vancouver is along the Hwy.7. It's mostly flat and direct. I suggest that you have a look at the BC Randonneurs website in their route archives, looking at 2003 Spring 300km and also the Cache Creek 600km. As for your return, how about just riding back. It's not that far from Hope to Vancouver.
