Hey, I posted here a month or two ago about my workout routine. I'm
5'10 and just under 135 pounds now, and I've been working out for a
year and three months now. The first two months I gained 20 pounds,
but since then, absolutely nothing. While I'm not gaining muscle mass,
the amount I can do on certain exercises has increased significantly.
But I really want to gain muscle mass. I've tried eating more lately
too, and it seems as if I'm still not getting any more muscle, maybe
just some fat around my stomach / sides.
Someone at work suggested I take vanadyl sulfate in addition to
eating more. He says I'm lifting correctly. I've looked around a bit
on the internet and I'm not so sure I want to try this stuff. There
seem to be conflicting reports as to whether or not it's harmful, and
also conflicting reports as to whether or not it works. I've been very
dedicated to working out for the past 15 months, I've never taken a day
off if I don't feel like it (only my scheduled days off), and it's
getting very frustrating and I'd like to try something that would help
me break out of this year long slump of not gaining anything. Has
anyone had any experience, or can anyone point me to some good links
about the potential risks? Would it be safe to try taking 50 mg a day
for a month?
Eating may be a source of the problem. Is this enough food to see
muscle gains? This is an example of what I've been eating this week,
from the other day:
- Peanut Butter and Jelly on Bagel
- Protein Shake (20 g)
- Yogurt
- Banana
- Zone Perfect Bar
- Turkey and Mozzerella Sandwich on Wheat Roll
- Protein Shake

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
