I just want to know for the record if it's okay to dope test van Impe or
if it's still not allowed because he's grieving?

Thanks,

Magilla

Why does WADA permit TUEs for asthma inhalers?

It's OK to test him. If he's positive, then ASO will take back his
1976 TdF title (he's Belgian).

This simply ridiculous, why would one test a rider who is not even
racing.

It seems that you do not understand the purpose for out of competition
testing.

Dude,

Are you retarded?

Magilla

So in other words you think we should go back and test former pros
such as Hinault, Merckx and Moser etc.... This assumption is
nonsensical since they no longer race so therefore they are no longer
goverened by UCI. The only way to get them to submit to a drug test is
to get a court to order them to. This in my mind amounts to a witch
hunt.

There's a more recent van Impe than Lucien. See these threads from a couple of
months ago:

Seems to me that Magilla should have been more clear in the beginning
of the thread.

Last year it could have been Sebastian Hinault, Axel Merckx, and Leonardo
Moser as well as Van Impe.

Planckaert? There's always a Planckaert. Don't forget Nicholas Roche and
the CXers Ricardo van de Velde, Boy van Poppel, Radomir Simunek.

Dumbass -

It's your own fault for thinking that they'd be testing riders who
retired 25+ years ago. Not Magilla's fault. Yours.

Why is it that bike racer excuse making finds its way into all sorts
of non-racing aspects of life?

thanks,

K. Gringioni.

They don't test an ex-racer until the autopsy.
