I wonder if an aero helmet and aero bars would have been a smidgen
faster, for Valverde to beat Savoldelli, or was this course so short
and technical that they wouldn't have mattered? In the pics, all other
riders except Guennadi Mikhailov had aero bars and helmets, yet none of
them were down in the bars... Granted, the pics were probably all
taken at the technical corners. Maybe Valverde was faster than he
would've been with the aero stuff because he didn't have to worry about
coming out of the bars, getting back in, etc.
