The valve on my back tire was instantly deflating, so i figured it was messed up and bought a new tube for it. I put it on and inflated it and I hear a small leak coming from the new hoses valve. It dosent instantly deflate like the old one but it takes about 5-10 minutes before its empty. Does anyone have an idea on whats wrong and how to fix it? Thanks.

Is it a schrader valve or a presta valve?
-
Odd, the only thing I can think of is that it's a Presta valve and you don't have the valve screw on top unscrewed far enough. If it's a Schrader valve you may have a defective valve, in which case you could go to a tire store and see if they could give you a new screw in valve and tool to do it...these things are cheap and shouldn't cost more then a buck or two (two bucks is a rip off!).
