Thanks for the several replys. I plan to slowly replace my Schraeders with Prestas since I find Schraeders a pain to use for pumping up. I accept that a good pump minimises the difference though.
As to the advantage of being able to use a garage pump, I rarely use these, even for the car: I often use a track pump on car tyres though!
