valve extender inside rim!!

  1. Hi, The unthinkable happened. I lost my valve extender inside my deep rim Reynolds. Any ideas on how to get it out?:eek:

    Was the extender steel? If so maybe use a magnet...

    Remove the tire and rim tape. The spoke holes are a little bigger than the valve hole and will make it easier to find and remove the valve extender.

    Off topic but I hate valve extenders. I think that it's well worth the extra cost to buy long stem inner tubes.

  4. Dont know how I can help you get it out but if you do dont use valve extenders anymore. I also have Reynolds deep section carbon rims (DV46C) but dont have to use the plastic extenders. Instead I use long valve tubes with 60mm valves. If what you have are tubulars use the long valves as well.
