  1. Does a 25 year old Holdsworth sports bike have any resale value at all?
Or was the drug-addled waste of space who spent at 5 to 10 minutes with
screwdriver and wrench trying to steal my bike (and damaging it in the
process) as wrong in his belief, as he was in his dress sense and
    facial-hair choice?

Car-doored, nearly run-down by cyclist on a green man, and now nearly
unbiked, all in 10 days! I'm going to stay indoors for a little while.
There is obviously a contract out on me.

    I know the feeling!
I have had a bad winter too -- bike purloined, ribs broken -- new bike rear
wheel re-rimmed! And that was all after my car was written off by a
campervan whilst I was stationary and sat there quietly terrified.
I feel the winter would have been better spent in hibernation!
