Yes they did. 21 carbs for 3 pieces or 40 grams to be exact if you count
the sugar alcohols (20 g). Actually this would be the same as Hershey's
regular kisses. I'm a lot stronger than my husband- the concept of having
just 1 is too hard for him- where I could savor a cocoa bar for 2 months. I
really didn't think they were that special- I can make better.
I didn't notice any differences since I still kept the rest of my diet low
carb. I think the thought of having a "low carb" item around can be just as
bad of a teaser because at the other end of the dining room table is a bowl
of Hershey miniatures- and I don't even think of eating them.
When ever a new food comes into the house, I enter it into Fitday, and
figure out how big a portion is....or in the case of candy, a part of a
portion. it usually isn't work the carbs and calories.
I'm a sucker for new foods and tastes. My son had to make a plantain omelet
for Spanish class. very unusual, and I love quiche type dishes. I can take
or leave the plantain, but had to give it a try. BTW fitday actually had it
in its data base-plantains are off limits. worse than chocolate

and there were the Russell Stover Sugar Free candies- in a heart shaped

marked down to 1/2 off. I've ignored these things to this point, but
decided I could work a portion into today's carb allowance-
I was like someone who was about to eat godiva chocolates for the first
time- I took a knife and sliced off 1/3 of a candy.....this way I could
try
them all. That worked really good for me- no mysteries left in the box.
Then
I realized what music was playing on TV. Grammy replay of Janice
Joplin's
"have another piece of my heart"
I had a good laugh and am still under 2000 cal for the day and moderate

carb 45. Now I can see if those sugar alcohols have any affect on me. BTW
1
serving was PLENTY!
so, how many actual carbs did you eat? Sugar alcohols are carbs, and
they have calories.
