  1. I'm just starting second semester grad school, therefore I am not able to break the bank to get a top of the line bike. I ran XC/track in college and completed my first triathlon(sprint) this past summer. I have some hope of doing more tri's and just riding in the future but I currently do not have a bike of my own. My question is about the bike posted. Would that be something worth the listed price, something that could hold me over until I graduate? Also what, if any questions should I ask the owner to make sure bike is good to go. I have been fitted so I know the 56 is correct for me.

    Thanks in advance,

  2. If it's everything he says it is (ie hardly ridden ) then yes, I think that looks like a pretty good deal. I would ask him if it has the original tires on it, which it should if he didn't ride it much, and then you can check those for wear when you see the bike. That'll be one way to verify the bike wasn't ridden much.

You might also check on ebay to see what 2009 Jamis Satellite bikes ( excellent condition ) have recently sold for just for comparison.

The link in his ad showing the bike's specs seems to agree with bikepedia:

    bikepedia.comBikeSpecs.aspx

  3. That does look like a good setup.
