All those names are being programmed into the Scott Mercer Terminator.

One day all you Party Boys will learn you don't ride a goddamn bike in
mudd and talk about it like you dropped Rebellin on the Mur. The good
news is I sent the Governor of Kansas a certified letter requesting he
release BTK on a weekend furlough for park cleanup detail this weekend.

Good luck, you travelling circus Wizard of Oz freaks.

When I saw the subject, my immediate reaction was, "Let's see if he's
got Mike Carnahan". Well you do, so good work. Mike is someone I knew
briefly when I first started riding in Rochester, NY in 1982. He also
won a senior road championship and then later he crowned his career
with a FM road championship.

Sounds like he wasn't required to fill out a W-2 since he didn't gross
over $600.

The person who places the tiara on Miss Puerto Rico makes more money

Somehow you managed to miss mentioning the absolute coolest part of that
page: the photo of Leroy Tyger Johnson, the first ever (and three-time)
US CX champ, apparently in his nats jersey:

http://www.cvccbike.com/ten_years/johnson.jpg

(that's a big photo, btw).

Photo seems to be a poster or program cover for the 1968 nats.

I sincerely hope that this means there are some photos of the early
events to be unearthed. I have some completely ludicrous retro-clothing
reasons for wanting them. Let's just say I recently spent several hours
on eBay finding exactly the right pair of socks, and yes I realize even
mentioning that is probably massive monkey-baiting.

I don't know what else he got for that win, but at least the trophy is nicely
substantial.

As I pointed out some time ago, the "Cyclocross National Championships"
before 1975 were bogus -- they were local events that were called
national championships without authorization from ABLA. The Illinois
folks managed to hoodwink the USCF staff into listing this
misinformation in the back of the Rule Book once much later but it then
was removed.

Doesn't matter. That '67 "Nats" jersey is cool enough to make itself
legit.

Well, I asked Tyger about that. He says he's got Stars 'n' Stripes
jerseys and ABLA National Championship medals from those races.
And really, I don't think your claim that these races were run
without ABLA authorization, for 7 years, yes, for seven years, is
based in reality. I mean, its not like they were running in stealth
mode.

If he's got ABLA medals then they had ABLA authorization.

I asked him if he's got newspaper clippings from those early races.
We'll see what shows up.

That's pretty convincing Bob.

I am still of the opinion that we ought to separate the US from the UCI
completely and hold real racing here without looking to a bunch of old fools
in Europe.

Maybe you ought to look around you and see what's happening in the world. Do
you realize that you cannot criticize the religion of Allah in Great Britain
now by rule of law? Or very soon in Canada?

Curiouser and curiouser that the Democrats who proclaim themselves the party
of the people are doing their level best to turn this country into a den of
slaves working for the government.

Let me fix this for you:

"...the Democrats who proclaim themselves the party of the people are
doing their level best to turn this country into a den of slaves working
for the Democratic Party controlled government."

The way you wrote it wasn't wrong, it just failed to distinguish them
from the Republicans who want to turn this country into a den of slaves
working for the Republican Party controlled government.

It's a huge distinction and your failure to properly separate the aims
of the two parties disturbed me.
