  1. i've got Dura Ace STI levers with no buttons for Flight Deck and it's about time to replace the hoods.

i've only seen replacement hoods with flight deck buttons so . . .

will i get full Flight Deck functionality by using these? or maybe just use of the computer control buttons, but not the "which gear am i in" functionality? or neither?

    anyone know? TIA

  2. You may have to replace your STI levers if you will use the Flite Deck. The FD compatible levers have built-in electronics/circuitry. Likewise, the Flite Deck fit specific versions of levers. To be sure, get the latest Flite Deck and the latest STI lever.

The latest Flite Deck (SC-6501) will give you the following features:

    Current Speed
    Clock
    Trip Time
    Trip distance
    ODO meter
    Stopwatch
    Stopwatch-trip distance
    Stopwatch-average speed
    Stopwatch-maximum speed
    Cadence (Virtual only)
    Maximum Speed
    Average Speed
    Lap counter
    Gear number (digital)
    Gear indicator (bar)
    Gear ratio
    VEL : AVE comparison

Hope that the information I gave will help you.
