  1. Hello:

Won't be seeing my MD for another month or so, and as this certainly isn't an emergency, thought I'd
post here and see if anyone has ever run into anything like it before. Really weird, and have no
    idea what it might be.

Am 67, and am in good health. The following first started about two months ago.

On one leg only, in the side frontal area between knee and ankle, (nowhere near calf), if I "move
the skin around a bit, I get an incredible "burning" sensation. Very painful. Perhaps a 4" x 4" area
    that reacts this way.

No indication on skin surface of anything unusual, no prominent veins, blotches, etc. Skin looks
healthy, and like all other areas. No problem with knee or ankle.

Happens a lot at night, when sheet initially prevents, and hold back momentarily, the skin in that
area from moving when turning over.

Pain seems to be slightly below surface, but close to surface. Just scratching or rubbing surface
does nothing; really have to move the skin a bit. After movement, pain goes away almost immediately

Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

Any other web sites, or newsgroups that this might be worth posting to or looking at ?

    Thanks, Bob
