Two dead after ambulance crashes
A patient in an ambulance has died in hospital after the vehicle was
involved in a crash with a cyclist.
She died at Leicester Royal Infirmary on Wednesday after the accident which
happened on the A6 at Rothley just before 1730 BST on Tuesday.
The male cyclist who died in the accident was carrying no identification and
detectives say they urgently need to establish who he was.
Leicestershire Police said they believe he lived in the Charnwood area.
He is described as white, aged 50 to 60-years-old, with grey hair. He had a
scar on his throat, and was riding a black Swift bicycle.
The road was closed for more than five hours causing severe traffic
congestion as police examined the crash scene.

Victim of ambulance crash named
A woman who died after the ambulance she was travelling in collided with a
cyclist has been named by police.
Marie Eugenia Coleman, 88, from Loughborough, died on Wednesday after the
accident on the A6 at Rothley on Tuesday evening.
