Uniglide hub

Yes .. and no ... Hopefully some one has better data than this but IIRC
they are officially not compatable however I've done it in the past on
two occasions for friends .. the internal binder needed to be carefully
cut down so as to not sit too high inside the new hyperglide body
(which would have meant the body was loose).

In both cases I was moving 6 speed MTB hubs to 7 Speed (new axles and
spacers as well)

Personally my road bike is still hyperglide and will be untill I can't
get parts at any price..

Just grind down the big tab on the Hyperglide cog to fit the Uniglide
hub.

Point... I assumed the OP was talking about the origional Uniglide
free-hubs that had the external threaded lock ring and no internal
threads.

Yes, I've done this. I upgraded an old (late '80s) 105 7-speed
Uniglide hub to 8/9/10 speed Hyperglide. Since it takes the "over the
locknut" measurement from 126mm to 130mm I also replaced the axle.
