  1. Hi all

My rear shifters are sticking so when I try to change to a smaller chain ring the derailer does not move but if I hold the top lever while I move the other I get a change.

If anyone has had the same problem maybe they could share a remedy with me.

check for a loose or missing screw at the upperbackside of the levers that hold them together. Check cables and casing for defects. You said rear, then said chainnrings. The rear is cogs.

  3. I had a similar problem with my Ultegra shifters earlier this year. The inner lever would not always catch to perform the shift. If I pressed forward as I deflected the lever inward, it would shift. Since the problem was worse in cold weather, I figured it was due to gunk/grease. I remedied by cleaning out the levers with a degreasing spray and they have been working great ever since.
