  1. Hey,

I read somewhere the UCI was considering a minimum for
racing days per rider. I also saw somewhere speculation of
allowing perfomance enhancing drugs, to level the playing
field, a sort of gladiator series. Has anyone heard the
latest? They are proposing that all riders train 25 hours a
week. No less, no more. The Horners of the world, with
their 33-37 hour training weeks, is completely unfair.
Also, Italian World Champions who only ride the bicycle 7-
12 hours a week is bad for the sport. They propose
electronic measuring devices, sort of like truck drivers
have in the European Union, to monitor their time behind
the wheel. This is actually the first idea I've seen out of
the UCI good old boy fraternity in quite some time.

Thanks, Ronde Chumpion (No relation to the Ronde Chump,
Ronde Champ, Ronde Champion, or Round Clump that post here)

For some people it's April 1st every day.
