ISTR Graham Watson bemoaning the advent of sunglasses because it hid the cyclists' expressions. Wonder what he thinks about h*lmets, which make all of the team members look identical?
It's one of the reasons I don't do road racing. That and the horrible pile-up I saw in a 3rds/juniors race once.

Well, there's that too.
At least in TTing you can adopt the thousand-yard stare and, provided no-one passes you at that instant, bystanders might think you're going quite fast.
