U.S. Olympic Committee Honors Hammer for April Accomplishments

The U.S. Olympic Committee announced cyclist Sarah Hammer and James vanRiemsdyk as its April Athletes of the Month. The USOC Team of the Month was awarded to the U.S. Under 18 National Ice Hockey Team and the Menandrsquo;s World Championship Curling Team. Hammer successfully defended her world title in the womenandrsquo;s three-kilometer individual pursuit at the 2007 UCI Track World Championships.
