  1. I just wanted to check:

Is it OK to use a 1.5" tyre on a rim that is currently fitted with a 1.95" tyre?

I've decided that the 1.95" chunky tread tyres on my MTB are absurd for the
cycling I do on it and want to change to 1.5" slicks.

    TIA for any help.

Unless you have ultra-wide downhill rims it'll be fine. And that's unlikely unless
you are riding a dedicated downhill MTB.

A fairly simple rule is that as long as the inflated tyre is wider than the
    rim it will be fine.
