  1. How do tell if a treadless tyre (slick, 700x23) is worn or even, worn out?

  2. Just like any other tyre. When you can see the casing!

  3. The tire crown will become flattened, and eventually the structural plies will shown. Few tires last that long where I ride. Sidewall gashes usually limit tire life here.

  4. G'day,

    most tyres (even slicks) have some sort of tread pattern...watch the wear as against a new one. Those that are totally slick will become 'smoother' where the tyre 'touches' the road, (run your hand over it)....as for when they are worn out?.....depends on your budget or when the casing comes off. LOL,
