  1. The Specialized Enduro tyres that were fitted to my Hardrock bike are 2.0 size. When someone pinched
my back wheel and I needed a replacement the tyre the bikeshop put on it (despite me saying I didn't
need a tyre... idiots) was 2.1 size but appears noticeably narrower. The Specialized website
describes Enduro tyres as high volume but doesn't really explain how this relates to tyre sizings as
far as I can see. Where is the tyre width actually measured? Does high volume mean the tyre sides
bulge out more from wherever this measurement is taken whereas most tyres would have flatter
    sidewalls?

Anyway since the bike is no suspension I like the cushioning of the Enduro tyres but they seem to
wear at a far faster rate than the ones on my old bike. Could anyone recommend some similarly shock
absorbing tyres that would have a longer life?
